Balls (January - February)

The tradition of balls is deeply rooted in the Austrian History. To attend a ball you should at least now how to waltz, an obligatory to this formal dance event. Between January and February, when it is "Fasching", the Austrian Carnival, balls are held nearly every weekend in different locations.

Opernball (February)

The most famous, expensive and glamorous is the Viennese Opernball, which has been located in the Vienna State Opera since 1877. Because of it's long-lasting tradition, it's exclusive ambient and its esthetical opening ceremony, the Opernball has been a draw to the international high society ever since.
